Under the supervision of the Manager, Physician Billing, this role handles billing for patient accounts, third-party and governmental payors, follow-up and collection of physician claims, denial management, self-pay balance identification, secondary billing, and timely documentation of collection status.

Requirements & Qualifications
Education and experience
- 2–3 years of experience in accounts receivable management in a hospital or physician group setting
- Previous experience with hospital or physician billing systems preferred
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Meditech, Epic, and Performance Manager/NetLearning as applicable
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly
- Ability to work independently and make independent decisions when needed
- Strong communication and tactful interpersonal skills with personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public
- Flexibility, integrity, and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Knowledge of data entry and filing duties
- Ability to use copiers, computers, facsimile machines, and postage equipment
