Revenue Cycle Specialist

This position is a hybrid role with three days in the office/clinic and two days working from home.

The Revenue Cycle Specialist is a key member of the Revenue Cycle Department and reports to the Director of Contract and Revenue Cycle. This role supports claims, payments, and verifications on a daily basis and provides updates and reports on the financial stability of the treatment centers.

Responsibilities include reviewing claims data, submitting claims for reimbursement, resolving denied claims, posting payments and adjustments, balancing deposits, identifying underpayments and overpayments, retrieving missing payment information from payers, and maintaining accurate payment records. The role also requires compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements and participation in training and professional development activities.

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Experience in front desk, admissions, billing, and/or collections
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Accurate data entry and basic keyboarding skills
  • Ability to enforce fee collection policies
  • Basic computer and word processing skills
  • Familiarity with office equipment and common computer programs
  • Knowledge of basic math, accounting, and accounts receivable
  • Understanding of NPI, taxonomy, and electronic claim submission requirements
  • Valid driver’s license
