The Medical Biller will support a medium to large group practice by handling medical claims, insurance follow-up, denial management, and revenue cycle tasks. This is an on-site role for a local candidate near Columbus, OH, with a work schedule of 20 to 40 hours per week and a guaranteed minimum of 20 hours. The position may be structured as W2 or 1099.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10 coding
- Experience with denials and billing issue resolution
- Familiarity with insurance protocols, including Medicare billing
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with medical billing software and EHR systems
- Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Relevant certification or training in medical billing preferred
- Prior medical billing and coding experience in a mental health or medical setting preferred
