Novant Health Urgent Cares provides non-medical management and administrative services to more than 50 Doctors Care urgent care centers and 24 Progressive Physical Therapy facilities throughout South Carolina. The organization is headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina.
The payment posting specialist will join the billing team and, under supervisor direction, ensure payments are correctly entered against accounts, charges are transferred to patient responsibility as appropriate, daily activities are balanced, records and reports are maintained, and payment errors or other anomalies are identified for research and resolution.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Ability to work 10-hour days during the last week of each month, including Saturday if necessary, to complete month-end processing
- Ability to enter $40,000 of charges daily
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to reflect the organization's mission, vision, and values through actions and conduct
- 1-2 years of previous billing or customer service experience preferred
