OrthoUnited is hiring a Medical Billing Specialist (Physical Therapy) for its Spectrum Campus location.
This role is focused on owning accounts receivable, resolving claim issues, and improving revenue cycle performance. You will directly impact revenue, patient access, and operational efficiency.
The position is not a passive billing role. It is suited for someone who takes initiative, follows issues through to resolution, and works collaboratively with front desk and clinical teams to fix problems at the source.
Requirements & Qualifications
Required experience and skills
- 1–3+ years of experience in medical billing and AR follow-up
- Strong understanding of EOBs, claims, and reimbursement
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple accounts
- Self-starter who takes initiative and follows through on issues
- Comfortable holding others accountable when needed
Preferred experience
- Outpatient physical therapy or rehab billing experience
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and workers’ compensation
