CareDx, Inc. is a precision medicine company focused on healthcare solutions for transplant patients and caregivers. The Insurance Reimbursement Specialist is responsible for maximizing reimbursement by collecting outstanding balances from insurance companies, following up on unresolved claims and appeals, and escalating claims through multiple appeal levels as needed.
This role works closely with the Payer Dispute Resolution and Market Access teams to ensure CareDx receives appropriate coverage and reimbursement from contracted and non-contracted payers and government health plans.
The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime. Candidates within commuting distance of the Brisbane, California office will be expected to work onsite regularly, while remote candidates may work from home and collaborate virtually.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years of experience in medical billing preferred; molecular laboratory billing experience is strongly preferred.
- Medical billing experience may be substituted with a bachelor's degree.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and proper handling of protected health information (PHI).
- Working knowledge of health insurance and related terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
