In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that clients' billing processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Billing Management
- Process and prepare invoices and billing statements accurately and timely
- Ensure compliance with established billing standards and regulations
- Record patient payments and insurance reimbursements accurately into the accounting system
- Reconcile discrepancies and ensure correct account balances
- Review and verify billing data for completeness and accuracy
- Ensure all necessary documentation is gathered and complete before invoicing
- Assist in reconciling discrepancies or issues with accounts
- Work with clients and insurance companies to resolve billing errors or disputes
- Maintain regular communication with clients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to support smooth billing operations
- Address inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience and Education
- Previous experience in medical billing or a similar financial role is preferred
- Familiarity with insurance billing procedures and regulations is an advantage
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Additional education or certification in medical billing or healthcare administration is a plus
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of medical billing software is desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify billing discrepancies and work toward effective resolutions
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
