NHC HomeCare Florida Regional Office is seeking an Insurance A/R Specialist to support accurate and timely collection of homecare accounts receivable from Medicare, managed care, and commercial insurance.
This role works under the direction of the Billing Manager and focuses on account follow-up, denials resolution, corrected claim submission, and communication with patients and homecare offices to resolve outstanding balances.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma; additional business and computer courses desirable
- 3+ years of third-party healthcare billing experience, preferably in home health care
- Experience with multiple carriers, EOBs, and claims denials
- Knowledge of Medicare and third-party insurance guidelines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including active listening
- Strong organizational skills, work ethic, and high attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
- Investigative mindset with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently
- Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette skills
