Innovative Ventures, affiliated with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants, is seeking a full-time Medical Infusion Biller responsible for office and hospital billing, infusion collections, and related tasks.
This position is located in person at the corporate location in Burr Ridge, IL.
Key responsibilities include:
- Printing appointment schedules and tracking billing for each assigned location
- Billing infusions daily and verifying HCPC codes, drug quantities, EMR documentation, and pharmacy delivery tickets
- Printing and mailing HCFA 1500 forms to insurance companies and attaching primary explanation of benefits to secondary insurance claims
- Tracking drug for patients who were not infused and coordinating returns with the clinic and pharmacy
- Verifying patient demographics and insurance information
- Monitoring and reporting assigned billing tasks to the direct supervisor
- Working with clinical staff to obtain missing documentation and complete billing in a timely manner
- Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in medical billing practices required
- Experience with Microsoft Suite and Outlook preferred
- Experience with CPR+ and/or CareTend preferred
- Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, may be required for those working with immunocompromised patients
