Remote coding role supporting accurate and ethical assignment of ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for medical records and encounters.
Responsibilities include reviewing and screening medical records, abstracting clinical data into Epic and/or Fastrack, resolving missing documentation, and ensuring coding is completed in time for billing. The role also requires maintaining current knowledge of CMS, Ohio, and official coding guidelines, meeting productivity expectations, and identifying process improvement opportunities.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of work experience
- Current or previous certification/credential in one of the following:
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
- Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
- Certified Professional Coder Apprentice (CPC-A)
- Certified Coding Specialist-Physician (CCS-P)
- Experience with CPC or CCS-P coding credentials preferred
