HealthMark Group is hiring an onsite Medical Records Processing Specialist to support release of information (ROI) operations at its Dallas location and UTSW floater site.
This role is focused on processing incoming ROI requests, maintaining record accuracy, supporting patient walk-in requests, and ensuring timely turnaround of medical record releases while protecting confidentiality and complying with company and client policies.
Key responsibilities
- Complete incoming ROI requests in a timely and efficient manner
- Manage front desk support for patient requests, concerns, and walk-ins
- Maintain 100% ROI accuracy
- Complete STAT requests within one hour and other ROI requests within 24 hours
- Keep queues current
- Validate requests and authorize release of PHI according to established procedures
- Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and proper invoicing
- Maintain confidentiality, security, and ethical standards for medical record handling
- Complete legal affidavits and related questions as needed
- Scan ROI requests into the chart
- Follow ROI policies for both HealthMark and the client
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and professional work environment
- Update facility guides as needed
- Provide excellent customer service and help de-escalate patient complaints
- Communicate effectively with customers and support overall patient satisfaction
