Clinical Coding Auditor for Texas Health Resources within the HIMS/CCDI department.
- Full-time position with Monday through Friday hours
- 100% remote work
- Responsible for medical records auditing, data capture and reporting, fiscal management of coding resources and processes, and professional accountability
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information or a related field preferred
- Associate's degree in Health Information or a related field required, or high school diploma/equivalent with 5 years of acute care and/or relevant experience in lieu of degree
- 5 years of acute care inpatient or CPT surgical level coding required
- 1 year of coding and documentation audit experience preferred
- RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or COC certification required
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, APC, DRG, coding conventions, automated encoders, NCCI/OCE edits, and regulatory/payer requirements
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Optum CAC, and Epic preferred
- Strong data analysis, report writing, time management, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
