The AMR Coordinator is responsible for the education, development, and optimization of the Ambulatory Medical Record (AMR) system to ensure efficient utilization and adherence to best practices across clinical settings. This role collaborates with market and corporate leadership, clinicians, and staff to drive performance improvement, support quality initiatives, and ensure AMR competency.
The position plays a key role in onboarding new clinical staff and providers, monitoring workflow adherence, and providing ongoing training to improve system utilization.
Essential functions
- Provide AMR training, education, and workflow optimization to clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Conduct assessments of new physician practices, urgent care centers, and walk-in clinics prior to AMR implementation.
- Monitor system utilization, identify training gaps, and collaborate with leadership on action plans for improvement.
- Facilitate onboarding and AMR preparedness for new clinical staff and providers, including go-live support and post-go-live optimization.
- Deliver ongoing training in classroom, remote learning, and hands-on formats.
- Maintain and update AMR user access, including terminations, security compliance, and role-based permissions.
- Support accurate documentation practices within the AMR to enhance care coordination and quality initiatives.
- Assist with patient portal enrollment initiatives and train front desk staff on engagement strategies.
- Review and analyze provider AMR utilization data and coordinate optimization visits and training sessions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Healthcare, Health Information Management, or a related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred, ideally in a clinical role such as Medical Assistant or other direct patient care position.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Strong knowledge of AMR/EHR functionality, clinical workflows, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to develop and deliver engaging training programs to diverse audiences.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess utilization data and recommend workflow improvements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AMR reporting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
