The EMR Systems Analyst - HIM Support plays a critical role in ensuring the timeliness of EMR documents through hands-on assistance with priority indexing and uploading, processing documents pended in upload, scanning, indexing, and QA review queues, as well as other priority HIM work queues.
Responsibilities
The EMR Systems Analyst - HIM Support is responsible for the identification, analysis, and/or resolution of electronic medical record (EMR) quality control issues related to indexing, upload, distribution, and document processing. This role also serves as a resource for less senior staff who may need assistance and/or training to ensure chart processing tasks are completed timely and accurately.
Qualifications
- Two years of health information management or related technical experience
- Excellent PC knowledge and skills
- Ability to work independently in HIM quality control indexing and upload queues
- Ability to manage priority work queues and time-sensitive tasks
- Previous HIM document processing experience and proficiency required
