The Health Information Coordinator supports the HIM Department by helping monitor and maintain complete health records for all persons served. This role ensures records are accurate, thorough, and maintained in compliance with program-specific regulations. The coordinator works closely with the Administrator, Director of Nursing, Program Director/Clinical Director, department heads, and the corporate Health Information Department.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of experience working in a health-related field
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Basic computer and typing/data entry skills
- General office skills, including filing and organizing
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in clerical procedures and computers
- Willingness to learn and work with limited supervision
- Ability to work within a team
- Knowledge of governing regulations
