Join a growing healthcare team as a Medical Records Clerk responsible for maintaining accurate, compliant, and confidential resident documentation.
In this role, you will support the facility’s medical records operations, help ensure regulatory compliance, and assist leadership with documentation, reporting, and meeting coordination.
Key responsibilities include:
- Organizing and maintaining the facility’s medical records system in compliance with company, state, and federal regulations
- Coding and quantifying resident records from admission through discharge
- Assisting with the development and implementation of medical record policies and procedures
- Maintaining an organized and accessible filing system for staff use
- Preparing reports and documentation as requested by leadership
- Serving as secretary for designated meetings, including taking and distributing minutes
- Conducting quarterly resident chart audits to ensure compliance and accuracy
Requirements & Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Medical Records certification
- Strong clerical and office function skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation practices
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Reliability, punctuality, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
