Medical Records Coordinator II

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-service-focused Medical Records Coordinator II to join the Medical Records team.

The role supports the clinic medical records function and is responsible for accurately completing clerical duties related to medical record management. Responsibilities include pulling records for other departments and individuals, electronically filing records, preparing copies, scanning documents, ensuring copy requests are authorized, reviewing records for completeness, obtaining required signatures from physicians and practitioners, filing correspondence and other documents accurately, and assisting with mailing correspondence from the business office.

This position works closely with other departments to ensure patient charts and information are complete for treatment, while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, patience, and tact in a high-stress environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

Qualifications and preferred experience

  • Must demonstrate eligibility for employment in the United States
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with others
  • Willingness to participate in goal-setting and educational activities for growth and advancement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated computer skills using Microsoft Office, integrated databases, and related functions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
  • Two years of clerical experience required
