Maintains and monitors medical records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness from patient admission through discharge. Supports compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies, responds to external requests for medical record information, and protects patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA. Assists with chart audits, discharge data verification, scanning and indexing documents into the EHR, and maintenance of the integrity of the medical record.
