Responsible for supporting the Health Information Management department and outpatient sites by organizing, evaluating, and processing medical records requests. This role handles phone and faxed requests for records, retrieves prior images and reports, prepares documentation for incoming and outgoing films/CDs, and assists with a high-volume phone queue. The position works closely with patients and provider offices to complete release of information documentation and ensure records are prepared accurately and on time in a fast-paced clinic environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent related experience, or equivalent education/training/experience
- Previous imaging medical records experience preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Current BLS certification required
