Intune Physical Therapy has partnered with Spero Rehab to provide physical therapy services in the Austin and Houston, TX areas. This role supports the front office and patient experience at a physical therapy clinic, serving as the first point of contact for patients.
The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for greeting and checking in patients, scheduling appointments, managing phone calls, processing payments, verifying insurance benefits, obtaining authorizations, maintaining electronic medical records, and supporting daily clinic operations. The position helps ensure a positive patient experience and smooth clinic workflow.
This role is open to part-time, full-time, and PRN shift preferences.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
1-2 years of medical office or customer service experience
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures
Proficiency with electronic medical records systems and practice management software
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Outstanding organizational abilities and attention to detail
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Professional appearance and positive, friendly demeanor
Knowledge of medical insurance and billing procedures preferred
