Assume responsibility and accountability for medical record management.
- Prep, analyze, and account for all medical records
- Complete and coordinate follow-up of delinquent records
- Organize and conduct Medical Record Committee meetings
- Prepare statistical reports as directed
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience / Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Recent successful completion of a college-level coding course required, or at least one year of coding experience in healthcare or a Health Information Management department required
- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding regulations required
- Working knowledge of basic office equipment, including computers
- Accuracy, precision, and attention to detail are essential
