Join a nationally recognized orthopedic organization as a Medical Records Coordinator supporting medical information requests, chart management, and records compliance. The role is based in Westchester, IL with periodic travel to the Chicago office and offers remote work after onsite training is completed.
You will handle active and inactive medical records, process requests for medical information, scan and file documents, support chart retrieval and storage, assist with mailroom and supply duties, and help maintain accurate and complete health records in accordance with privacy and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of medical records experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
