Responsible for analyzing and managing medical record deficiencies to ensure timely, accurate chart completion in compliance with Joint Commission standards.
This role requires knowledge of medical record content, physician documentation workflows, and Epic/One Content, along with the ability to assign, reassign, and audit deficiencies accurately. The position is open to local Miami candidates only and does not allow relocation or remote work.
Key duties include reviewing discharged patient records for missing or incomplete items, managing verification and decline queues, supporting physician chart completion compliance, maintaining documentation quality, and ensuring all indexed documents are properly linked and filed.
High school diploma required, with some advanced technical training preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital medical records or HIM setting, with additional quality analysis or similar experience preferred.
Required skills and knowledge:
- Working knowledge of medical record content
- Familiarity with physician documentation workflows
- Knowledge of Joint Commission chart completion requirements
- Experience with Epic/One Content or similar systems
