Our client, a medical center facility within a major California health delivery system, is seeking a Medical Office Coordinator for an onsite role in Oakland, CA.
This position supports front-desk and back-desk administrative operations, patient scheduling, incoming call management, and coordination of insurance authorization-related communication.
The assignment is expected to last 3 months with a strong possibility of extension.
Key responsibilities
- Manage incoming phone calls and route them appropriately
- Schedule patient appointments
- Perform front-desk and back-desk administrative office tasks
- Support insurance authorization tracking and patient communication regarding insurance requirements and limitations
- Maintain a high level of customer service and communication while handling a high-volume clinic environment
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least 6 months of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Experience with EPIC APEX required
- EPIC APEX training preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong communication and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals
- Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
- W2 candidates only; no C2C or 1099
