Premise Health is seeking a Full Time Senior Health Information Coordinator to support client employees in a health center located in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
This role serves as a liaison between patients, providers, office staff, and outside facilities regarding medical records, disability insurance, and patient paperwork. The coordinator prepares, tracks, and processes clinical forms, manages medical records requests, supports HIPAA-compliant release of information, assists with subpoena and legal record requests, and helps coordinate referrals when needed.
The position also supports training, mentoring, workflow troubleshooting, and collaboration with the Health Information Management team. Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in Health Information Management
- Strong understanding of HIPAA, medical leave of absence, work restrictions, disability forms, and FMLA-related processes
- Ability to review records requests and determine appropriate release of information
- Experience handling medical records, faxes, subpoenas, and legal record requests
- Ability to maintain logs, audit records workflows, and manage multiple administrative tasks
- Strong communication skills for patient, provider, and staff coordination
- Ability to train and mentor others on health information workflows and privacy procedures
