Remote HCC coding assignment focused on risk adjustment and professional fee coding. The role supports Medicare Advantage and MSSP ACO populations by reviewing encounters, identifying HCC recapture opportunities, and ensuring accurate documentation and diagnosis capture. Work is ongoing and full-time, with Eastern Time availability preferred.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong E/M ProFee coding experience is required
- CRC credential required
- CPC credential required
- Minimum 3 years of HCC risk adjustment coding experience
- Strong professional fee (ProFee) coding experience
- Advanced E/M coding knowledge
- Strong knowledge of CMS-HCC Risk Adjustment for Medicare Advantage and MSSP ACO populations
- Experience reviewing AWV, CPE, and encounters with HCC recapture opportunities
- Ability to identify documentation impacting E/M Medical Decision Making (MDM) and flag charts for CPT review
- Ability to identify unsupported diagnoses and ensure accurate HCC capture
- Broad diagnosis coding knowledge with strong documentation review skills
- Epic experience required
- Ability to work independently in a remote outpatient environment
