Director of Sales - Coding Services

A growing healthcare revenue cycle organization is seeking a proven Director of Sales to drive new business across hospitals and health systems. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on selling medical coding services, coding audit, CDI, RCM, and related provider-side solutions.

The role is remote within the U.S. and is intended for candidates with established experience in healthcare services sales and existing hospital relationships.

Requirements & Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Generate new logo opportunities within hospitals and health systems
  • Sell coding, coding audit, CDI, RCM, and related services
  • Leverage existing provider relationships to open doors quickly
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close
  • Deliver proposals, presentations, and value-based sales conversations
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and CRM activity
  • Build relationships with C-suite, revenue cycle, HIM, coding, CDI, compliance, and operations leaders
  • Travel as needed for meetings, conferences, and client development

Required Experience

  • Direct sales experience selling medical coding services
  • Existing hospital and health system relationships
  • Strong provider-side network and relevant contacts
  • Experience selling into revenue cycle, HIM, coding, CDI, compliance, or hospital operations leaders
  • Proven hunter with new-logo/business-development success
  • Strong understanding of hospital revenue cycle and provider workflows
  • Ability to manage complex healthcare sales cycles

  • $150,000 to $180,000 base salary
  • Commission potential generally $100,000 to $200,000+ annually
