1. Indications

• Hair Loss from Medical Conditions Certain medical conditions, such as thyroid disorders or autoimmune diseases, can lead to hair loss, making this procedure a viable option for restoration.

2. Procedure

The punch graft procedure involves several key steps to ensure successful hair transplantation:

• Step 1: Preparation The patient is positioned comfortably, and the scalp area where the grafts will be harvested is cleaned and sterilized to minimize the risk of infection. Local anesthesia is administered to ensure the patient remains comfortable throughout the procedure.
• Step 2: Graft Harvesting Using a circular punch tool, the physician carefully removes small, full-thickness grafts from the donor site on the scalp. The size of the punch tool may vary, but it typically ranges from 4mm to 6mm in diameter. The physician ensures that the grafts contain healthy hair follicles for optimal transplantation.
