BayMark Health Services is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to manage billing processes, claims submissions, patient authorization expiration reporting, adjustment spreadsheets, and assigned accounts.
The role supports medical accounts receivable follow-up, claims resolution, payment posting, refund requests, and communication with insurance carriers and patients.
Previous physician office or hospital billing experience required; 5 years preferred.
Strong working knowledge of Texas Medicaid, Medi-Cal, managed care, and commercial plans.
Experience with medical terminology, ICD-9 coding, CPT codes, UB-04, and 1500 claim forms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to self-manage workload, multitask, and collaborate with coworkers.
Compliance with HIPAA billing policies and internal procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
