Multi-Specialty Profee Coder

RCM Healthcare Services

As a Multi-Specialty Profee Coder, you will support healthcare organizations by accurately reviewing and coding professional fee charts across multiple specialties. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with coding guidelines, supporting revenue cycle integrity, and maintaining high-quality standards in a production-driven environment. You will collaborate with healthcare teams servicing large academic and complex care settings.

Schedule

  • Flexible schedule
  • 40 hours per week

Key Duties

  • Review and audit multi-specialty professional fee charts for accuracy and compliance
  • Apply appropriate coding for surgical procedures and evaluation & management (E/M) services
  • Identify and resolve coding denials and discrepancies
  • Maintain productivity and accuracy standards in a production-based environment
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper coding practices and compliance

Compensation

  • Hourly rate: $25–$38 per hour
  • Remote position
Requirements & Qualifications

Education

  • Relevant training in medical coding or healthcare field

Licenses & Certifications

  • Certification through AHIMA or AAPC

Skills and Experience

  • Strong knowledge of surgical and E/M coding practices
  • Experience auditing professional fee charts in large healthcare systems or medical groups
  • Ability to manage denials and complex specialty coding scenarios
  • Experience working remotely in a quality-focused, production-driven environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of coding experience
  • Experience coding on the professional fee side, ideally for large academic or Level I trauma centers
  • Experience with RHC / Critical Access settings preferred
