At Associates in Pediatric Therapy (APT), the Billing Specialist will support a dynamic team focused on compassionate, individualized pediatric care. The role is responsible for billing operations, claim follow-up, payment posting, account reconciliation, and communication with insurance companies and guarantors.
• High school graduate or equivalent • Certified Professional Biller preferred • 1 year of experience with claims, billing, and collections required • Two or more years of claims and billing experience strongly preferred • Ability to handle a high volume of accounts in an office setting • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Prior electronic medical records (EMR) experience • Ability to use discretion when handling confidential information • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs at times
