The ideal candidate will ensure accurate billing and timely reimbursement for healthcare services provided by our practice. Key responsibilities
- Preparing and submitting accurate claims to insurance companies, government payers, and patients
- Reviewing patient accounts and verifying insurance coverages
- Resolving claim denials, rejections, and payment discrepancies
- Posting payments and adjustments to patient accounts
- Maintaining compliance with all federal and state regulations, including HIPAA
- Communicating with patients regarding billing inquiries and providing excellent customer service
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure efficient workflow
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- Prior experience in medical billing
- Accuracy and compliance in handling billing processes
- Proficiency in billing software, databases, or other financial tools
- Strong willingness to learn
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
- Experience with EPIC or another electronic EMR system preferred
