BayCare is seeking a Medical Records Outpatient and Inpatient Coder II to work remotely on a full-time, non-exempt schedule.
Position details
- Remote work with residence required in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, or South Carolina
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Full-time, non-exempt position
Responsibilities
- Assign diagnosis and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT-4 coding systems
- Monitor bill hold reports
- Assist management with mentoring and training Coder I team members and clinical practice students
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of medical coding experience
Preferred qualifications
- CCS certification
- RHIT certification
- Associate degree in Health Information Management
