Gentis Solutions is seeking an experienced Outpatient Coder for a contract-to-hire opportunity supporting outpatient coding across multiple encounter types. This role requires strong specialty experience in GI, Neurology, and OB/GYN, along with a high level of accuracy and solid knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding guidelines.
The position is fully remote, but state residency is required in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Georgia, or New Mexico. The expected start is ASAP, and the engagement duration is approximately 3 months with the potential to convert to hire.
- Proven outpatient coding experience in GI, Neurology, and OB/GYN
- Online coding certification required for submission
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to maintain a 95%+ coding accuracy rate
- Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding guidelines
- Experience working within EMR systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Must reside in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Georgia, or New Mexico
- Preferred: prior contract or contract-to-hire coding experience
- Preferred: experience supporting denial resolution and physician documentation clarification
- Preferred: familiarity with outpatient hospital-based coding environments
