ClareMedica is seeking an accurate, detail-oriented coder to join its team supporting senior-focused healthcare services. The role involves reviewing medical records and coding office procedures to ensure claims and encounter coding information aligns with risk adjustment models.
Key responsibilities include reviewing patient charts, analyzing medical records for coding accuracy and compliance, and documenting chronic or new conditions for provider validation. The position also requires meeting daily coding production goals, collaborating with team members, attending departmental meetings, and assisting with additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- CPC (Certified Professional Coder) through AAPC or AHIMA
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- CRC (Certified Risk Adjustment Coder) preferred
- Maintain coding certification and attend required in-service training
- 2 years of medical coding experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Strong computer skills, including data entry, coding, EMR software, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Goal-oriented and a team player
