As a Clinic Coder II, you will play a key role in supporting the financial health and operational integrity of the healthcare ministry by accurately abstracting and coding patient records in compliance with established coding, billing, and data collection guidelines.
You will review medical records to determine the most appropriate diagnoses using ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding rules and guidelines. You will also work with practice staff on MS-DRG and APC assignments, sequence diagnostic and procedural codes accurately, validate charges against medical documentation, and help identify and resolve discrepancies in coded charges.
This role supports revenue cycle management, compliant data submission, and accurate account rectification while maintaining the highest ethical standards in medical billing and protecting the confidentiality of medical records.
