GeBBS Healthcare Solutions is building a talent pool for future Inpatient Facility Coder opportunities. This posting is intended to connect with experienced coding professionals who want to be considered for upcoming projects and roles as they become available.
These future roles are anticipated to be remote W-2 positions with flexible schedules and may be available as full-time or part-time opportunities.
Coders may be responsible for reviewing patient charts, assigning diagnosis and procedure codes, and maintaining high-quality coding standards. The role involves assigning diagnostic and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and other designated coding classification systems in accordance with coding rules and regulations, while abstracting required clinical information.
- RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification through AHIMA required
- Minimum of 3 years of recent inpatient facility coding experience
- Ability to maintain standard industry productivity rates for inpatient coding
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high quality standards of 95% or greater
- Proficiency with technology, including computer, VPN, MS Office, and coding software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must have ICD-10 coding experience and have completed an ICD-10 course
- Experience with trauma and highly complex cases preferred
