The Billing Specialist is responsible for entering medical, mental health, and addiction charges for all NARA NW facilities. This role audits authorizations, diagnoses, copayments, payment allocations, insurance options, and coverage eligibility, while researching and resolving denied and rejected insurance claims. The position also processes payments and refunds.

Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm

Requirements & Qualifications
Core responsibilities
- Follow up on outstanding insurance accounts receivable
- Review EOBs, research claims, and resubmit as needed
- Verify eligibility using online systems
- Enter tickets and review associated reports
- Document work tickets with traceable notes
- Bill secondary carriers
- Direct work to specific processing batches
- File batches and submit claims to DSHS
- Process bad debt write-off tickets
- Train on new and updated internal and external systems and databases
- Complete other revenue cycle projects and tasks as assigned
