This role assists with medical coding for a pulmonary and environmental pathology database, including translating diagnoses and assigning appropriate codes. The position supports military healthcare and cancer center operations within the Military Health System.
Key responsibilities include accessioning pathology cases, reviewing materials for accuracy and completeness, performing SNOMED and ICD-10 coding, maintaining medical records, and supporting data collection and quality needs for the study.

Preferred qualifications:
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
- SNOMED CT Authoring certification
- Knowledge of system analysis and design
- SQL experience
- Data upload and statistical data set creation for data analysis
- Experience with relational databases
- Excellent communication skills
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a T3/Secret security clearance
