This role supports long term acute care and inpatient acute care facilities by performing coding, reviewing medical records, and collaborating with hospital teams to ensure accurate documentation and DRG assignment.

Requirements & Qualifications
- RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or CPC certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of coding experience in LTACH or inpatient acute care
- Strong knowledge of DRGs
- Ability to perform ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT coding
- Experience reviewing medical records and applying coding guidelines and facility-specific policies
- Ability to perform preliminary, concurrent, and final coding
- Ability to initiate timely documentation queries in accordance with coding ethics and CDI guidelines
- Comfortable communicating with hospital leadership, case management, and clinical liaison teams
- Able to attend Zoom coding meetings and weekly hospital team meetings
- Well organized, self-motivated, and able to multitask with limited direction
- Proficient in 3M
- Must have a secure work area and internet access
