Accurately code and process medical records for inpatient and SDC patients in a timely manner.
Day shift position based at The Valley Health System in Ridgewood.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
CCS certification required.
One to two years of hospital coding experience.
Knowledge of data quality measures, DRGs, Prospective Payment Systems, and APCs.
Medical terminology required.
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, ICD-9-CM, and CPT-4 coding.
3M Encoder experience preferred.
Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision and collaborate effectively within a team.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to interact with customers to meet their needs.
Ability to handle interruptions, adapt to changing workloads and schedules, set priorities, make effective decisions, and manage problematic situations.
