Scheduling Coordinator - Gastro Clinic

The Scheduling Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless and timely patient scheduling, coordination of infusion treatments, and efficient check-out processes. This position is responsible for verifying insurance, obtaining prior authorizations, and managing inbound and outbound calls. Requirements & Qualifications

Education

  • High school graduate required
  • Health care courses or on-the-job training specific to hospital or medical office skills is desirable

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a health care setting preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer use, written and verbal communication, telephone skills, and customer service
  • Requires on-the-job training to attain job proficiency

Physical Requirements

  • Safety-sensitive position
  • Normal hospital environment
  • Normal or corrected eyesight and hearing within normal range
  • Sitting approximately 90% of the time
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 20 pounds
