Join McLeod Health's high-performing Cancer Coordination Team as an Oncology Data Specialist supporting excellence in oncology data and cancer registry operations.
This role is based in Florence, SC with a combination of on-site work and occasional remote flexibility. You will help ensure compliance with registry standards, support quality initiatives, and contribute to accurate oncology data reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

Education
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- One of the following:
- Associate's degree in Cancer Registry Management from an NCRA-accredited program with a completed NCRA-accredited practicum
- Associate's degree or at least 60 college-level credits plus completion of an NCRA-accredited Cancer Registry Management certificate and practicum
- Associate's degree or at least 60 college-level credits plus two semesters of Human Anatomy and Physiology and 1,950 hours of documented cancer registry work experience
Certification
- Certified Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) credential preferred
- If not certified at hire, must be eligible for and obtain ODS certification within 2 years of hire
Additional Qualifications
- Candidates currently enrolled in an NCRA-accredited Cancer Registry Management degree or certificate program may be considered if all requirements are completed within 2 years of hire
- Experience with oncology data abstraction, staging, treatment coding, registry reporting, and quality assurance preferred
