The Data Verification Specialist supports the bill review department by handling clerical and data-related tasks for medical bills. Responsibilities include mail handling, prepping and scanning medical bills, data entry, data verification, and assisting with phone and email tasks.
This is a remote role.
Key responsibilities
- Validate incoming data in the bill review system
- Identify and apply customer-specific rules and processes
- Communicate consistently with the supervisor regarding queue status and workload
- Assist the bill review department with clerical duties
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a professional office environment preferred
Skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload with minimal direction
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications
