We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced medical coder to join our growing radiology team. This role is responsible for accurately assigning diagnostic and procedural codes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting timely claim submission and revenue cycle operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Review radiology reports and medical documentation for coding accuracy and completeness.
- Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnostic and interventional radiology services.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific coding regulations.
- Identify and resolve coding edits, denials, and documentation deficiencies.
- Collaborate with radiologists, providers, and billing staff to clarify documentation when necessary.
- Maintain productivity and accuracy standards while meeting departmental deadlines.
- Stay current on coding updates, payer policies, and industry best practices.
- Assist with coding audits and quality assurance initiatives as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified coding credential required, such as CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and medical terminology.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coding for diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer guidelines.
- Previous experience in a radiology practice, imaging center, or hospital radiology department.
