Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- Certified coder with 3+ years of experience in GYN or GYN oncology coding
- High school diploma or GED
- Active CPC, COC, CCS, or equivalent certification
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and oncology-specific guidelines
- Experience with computers and communication equipment
- Ability to build effective working relationships with staff members and clients/physicians
- Oncology experience required
- Ability to accurately resolve claims and client concerns
- Knowledge of medical billing and coding terminology
- Familiarity with Word, Outlook, EMR, and facility software systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Motivated and dependable
