- Accurately code medical diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10 and CPT coding systems
- Review patient records to ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify discrepancies in medical records
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, coding guidelines, and regulations
- Process medical billing and collections efficiently to ensure timely payments
- Use EMR and EHR systems to manage patient records and coding information
- Assist with auditing medical records for accuracy and completeness
- Help maintain compliance with applicable regulations regarding medical records and billing practices
Qualifications
- Previous experience in DME billing and collections or a related field is required
- Familiarity with ICD-10 and other relevant coding systems is essential

- Prior experience in a medical office setting is an asset
