Hospital Care Group, P.C. is an independent hospitalist company serving hospitals in northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio. This full-time medical billing role supports the in-house billing team and offers a Monday through Friday schedule with weekends and holidays off.
The position is strictly on-site at the Fort Wayne location and includes paid vacation, incentive compensation, and a full benefits package.
Requirements & Qualifications
Must be a high school graduate or have a GED.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Certified Billing Certificate (CBC) or equivalent
- Medical office or hospital billing experience
- Experience with Athena billing system software
- Knowledge of professional billing claims processing
- Familiarity with computers and hospital EMRs
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines
- General familiarity with ICD-10, CPT coding, Medicare, Medicaid, and charge capture software
- Strong communication skills with insurance payors, patients, and providers
- Strong work ethic and teamwork
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strict adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
