We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Billing and Coding Specialist to join a healthcare team focused on accurate coding, billing, documentation, and reimbursement support. In this role, you will help maintain compliance with industry standards, optimize revenue cycle performance, and support high-quality patient care.
You will work with podiatry-related claims and billing workflows, supporting coordination between clinical staff, front office personnel, patients, and insurers. The position involves hands-on work with EMR/EHR systems, billing software, and clearinghouse platforms.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare documentation
- Understanding of podiatry coding and billing regulations
- Experience with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to analyze claim denials and improve reimbursement outcomes
- Experience with medical billing software, EMR/EHR systems, and clearinghouses
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Medical Billing Certification required
- Certification in Medical Billing and Coding preferred, such as CPC, CCS, or equivalent
