Risk Adjustment Coder

ASAAR Medical is seeking an MRA Risk Coder / HCC Coder to provide real-time support and coordination for Primary Care Providers and Care Coordinators related to MRA Risk Coding, HEDIS, and STARS.

The role reports to the Director of MRA and Risk Coding and focuses on improving documentation accuracy, supporting appropriate capture of HCC codes, and helping the organization maintain compliant risk adjustment practices.

Key responsibilities include reviewing patient charts, identifying potentially missed chronic conditions, educating office staff and providers on coding guidelines and documentation standards, assisting with onboarding and training new providers, supporting internal audits, and collaborating with clinical, compliance, data, operations, and technology teams to improve risk adjustment performance and encounter data accuracy.
